Product Of The Week

Hey gang! I know I haven't done a product of the week in a while, so here we go! Jen's product of the week is...L'Oréal Dream Blonde Complete Color & Care System.

Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I am not a natural blonde. I have to dye my hair to become the brilliant blonde that I portray. For years I've tried light blondes dyes, darker blonde dyes, but recently I've found that L'Oréal Dream Blonde Complete Color & Care System works best for my hair. I have the best and right color for me, and it still keeps my hair soft, instead of dry like some other dyes might do.

Each box contains one application of permanent hair color. Unlike other hair coloring kits this one includes shampoo, conditioner, pre-color moisture infuser and continuous shine crème along with the hair dye. The pre-color moisture is applied to the ends of your hair before the dye is set. This keeps your ends from becoming fried. After the dye is applied the shampoo and conditioner keep the blonde color from turning brassy. The shine crème works like a smoothing balm. You can use this after you dry your hair to style it.

This is by far my favorite hair dye product that I have used. I love the blonde color it gives me and I love the way my hair feels afterwards.

Red Hot

Hey friends! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, it seems as if it always flys by too fast. Today I want to talk about a "red hot" look that is hitting the red carpet. Red lips!

Red lips is very classy old school Hollywood. It shows sophistication at it's best. Plus, it makes every outfit pop and you'll be sure to stand out.

My advice, use a lip gloss. I'm not a huge fan of lip stick. The gloss stays on better and also provides shine to make your lips look irresistible. You can find lip glosses at your local drug stores and it'll only run you about $2-$5 dollars.

Have fun and make yourself "red hot!"

Best Beach Cover Ups

Hey friends. So I'm headed to the beach in a couple of weeks and I'm deciding on what to pack. What's my "must have" essential item you might ask? Beach cover ups!

I'm always down at the beach and I hate walking down there in just my bikini, so what's my favorite cover up? A fun loose dress. I love dresses. They are easy to throw on to walk down to the beach and great to wear right from the beach to dinner.

The looser they are the better is my motto. When I'm really hurting from the sun, it's such a struggle to try and fit into those jean shorts and OUCH! It's much easier to throw on a loose flowy dress. Try this simple blue dress from Target. It's quick to throw on if you want to run after that cutie you spotted on the beach and it's only about $25 dollars.

What's the best dress for you? Well the biggest trend in fashion lately has been floor length dresses. (We're heading back into the hippy ages ladies.) I have two floor length dresses and I love them. They are easy to throw on and great for a night out on the town. Check out this floor length dress for Forever 21. It's super cute to wear out or just to cover yourself up. And best thing is it's less than $30 dollars!
Dresses are fun and flirty and they always bring out the girlie side in you!

I'm Bringing Sexy Back

Hey gang! So what's the hottest trend in fashion today? It's fun and flirty shirts that have sexy back designs.

The best way to grab a guy's attention is to show a little skin. But instead of being a little sleazy and wearing a low cut top that shows your bust, try a backless shirt that shows a little back. It's classy and very sexy at the same time.

Backless shirts can range from having a low cut shirt (in the back) or a fun design. This is a shirt I just brought from Marshals. See how the back has fun flowers? Not only is the shirt black and the flowers are white, which makes every eye in the room turn, but it's fun and flirty to wear. I brought this shirt for $10.99.

Prom dresses with low back have always been a huge hit ever since the "no back" dresses hit the red carpet. My best advice, try a prom dress that is printed or bedazzled with a low back. It'll make everyone look at you!

Have fun and happy shopping!

Making A Come Back?!

Hey friends! So what's making this huge comeback you might ask? Well, it's jewelry that has your name on it!

Remember when the biggest fashion trend was sporting your name on your necklace or in your earrings, well they are coming back in style. Lauren Conrad sports her name on a two finger ring. A ring like Lauren's can run about $139 dollars in silver and about $250 for gold.

Also name necklaces are a huge hit! They're fun to wear out and can also make an outfit look classy. Personally I have my nickname, "Toots" on a necklace and I love wearing it out. Wearing your nickname or a funny name is a great conversation maker with that certain cutie when you out on the town. Depending on if you want a silver necklace, gold necklace, diamond studded or not, and even the length of your name, I can't really give you a price on the necklace. Best advice, look it up on Google! Many websites advertise specials!

You can put your name on any kind of jewelry. And for my boys, it's a great gift to get your girl to show her how special her name is to you!

Ouch! Too Much Sun

Hey all! I hope you all enjoyed your 4Th of July weekend, I know I sure did. Unfortunately, I did get way too much sun, and now I'm burnt as a lobster. So what's the best cure for bad sun burn? Aloe Vera.

You know the famous green cooling gel that your mother used to put on you after you were too sun burned to move? Well it still works and it's the only remedy that works for me.

My best advice, stick it in the freezer. Once you get back from the beach the cold aloe will cool down your skin faster and your relief will come a lot quicker too.

There are all different brands of aloe and you can find them all at your local connivance store. They range from about $4 dollars to about $9 dollars.

Have fun and stay cool!

The Birds and the Burts Bees

Hey gang! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Today I'm going to talk about a beauty supply company that I just love. Burts Bees.

Most of you know Burts Bees for the products lifeguards use to protect their noses with. You know that white zinc on their noses and their lips. But Burts Bees is much more than that. They make everything from lip balm to shampoo. All of their products are made from beeswax, botanical and essential oils, herbs, flowers and minerals. Burts Bees is all natural and all go green.

So what's some of their products? Let's start with my favorite, their lip balm. I use Burts Bee Honey lip balm all the time. It makes my lips so soft and smooth. It's ingredients include ultra-emollient lanolin, coconut oil and sunflower oil, and seals in hydration with beeswax. It's best to use when your lips are chapped or sort, especially if they get burnt in the sun. It costs about $3 dollars.

Another one of my favorite products is their Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Creme. It has moisturizing agents like honey, jojoba oil and rosemary extract. Living on my own this summer I've been doing a ton of dishes, and boy do my hands get beat up. I use this right afterwards and it smooths my sort hands right away leaving them soft to the touch. It costs about $10 dollars.

But these are only a couple of products, go check out their website to see what best fits you! Most stores sell Burt Bees products too so don't limit yourself to the internet.
